The Pharmaceutical Sales Online Training Program will introduce students to the fundamentals required to become an entry-level pharmaceutical sales representative. The program provides an introduction to the pharmaceutical industry, sales process, basic pharmaceutical science (clinical pharmacology, physiology), medical terminology, drug development process, and regulations. These concepts will enhance your understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its selling process, and is beneficial for a successful pharmaceutical sales career.

Upon successful completion of the Pharmaceutical Sales Online Training Program, students will be able to understand the following:

  • Pharmaceutical industry overview
  • Pharmaceutical sales process (start to finish)
  • Pharmaceutical terms, definitions, and abbreviations required to sell pharmaceuticals
  • Pharmaceutical science (pharmacology, physiology) required to sell pharmaceuticals
  • Federal laws and regulations that affect pharmaceutical sales
  • Government programs (Medicare and Medicaid)
  • New and emerging pharmaceuticals

 

There are no required course prerequisites or healthcare work experience. This program is designed for students/professionals who are interested in learning job skills for pharmaceutical sales opportunities.
