The purpose of this course is to meet the need for authoritative information regarding the applicability of the tests for petroleum products and lubricants now in common use in the world, and the significance of results obtained. This course aim to meet the growing demand on the part of the general public for information regarding the significance of the tests used in evaluating petroleum products and lubricants.

This course for anyone needing a general understanding of fuel specifications and quality control, especially supervisors, managers, and professionals new to the field in: Fuel Handling or Systems Design, Lab Operations, Purchasing, Quality Control, or who work for: Airlines or Airport Service Firms, Fuel Refiners, Pipeline Operators, Fuel and Equipment Suppliers, Inspection Labs, Trading Companies, Government Agencies, Aircraft, Engine, or Accessory Manufacturers, New engineers that participate in the manufacture of aviation turbine fuel, Laboratory managers responsible for test results from this test method, Regulatory personnel that need an understanding of the significance of the test results of the test method, Petroleum Company Employees, Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Personnel, Laboratory Supervisors, Fuel Marketing Personnel, Pipeline Company Employees, Engine Mfg. and Testing Personnel, Attorneys Involved in Regulation Litigation, Anyone Involved in Purchase, Sale, Operations, or Distribution of Gasoline. 

A basic understanding of chemistry is required.
