Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint

Course Description

Welcome to Microsoft PowerPoint®. This course is designed for beginners and intermediate-level students who wish to acquire, develop, or sharpen their PowerPoint® skills, which are essential for staying competitive in today’s job market.

This course is designed to walk you through Microsoft PowerPoint®, showing you how to use this popular program to make compelling presentations. Topics covered include planning a presentation, choosing a look for the presentation, inserting and modifying graphic objects, inserting graphs and organizational charts, embedding tables and worksheets, applying templates, utilizing slide transitions, preparing custom presentations and collaborating with workgroups.

This course is also intended for students who wish to pursue their Microsoft Office Specialist certification in PowerPoint.

Course Outcome

After completing Introduction to Microsoft Excel students will be equipped with a basic understanding of the following:

      Design PowerPoint presentations on their computers through examples and interactive exercises

      Develop presentations from scratch using templates

      Create, format and make use of charts, graphs and tables

      Develop slide layouts, themes, and slide masters

      Navigate through presentations, save presentations, preview slide shows, check spelling, use bulleted and numbered lists, and use clip art and shapes to enhance presentations

      Incorporate sound, video and animation into a presentation

Recommended Prerequisites

This course is an intended for students, professionals, and marketing people interested in learning how to program using the Microsoft PowerPoint

Assessment
